Cocoon

oh little nesting doll why do you hide inside yourself? why can’t you set your mind free? inside, there’s nothing to see. doesn’t it pain you to be so out of touch? if only they all knew that hope alone is not enough. oh little butterfly why do you want to transform? do you think that this cocoon will give you phases like the moon? maybe you can fool the rest but i know you haven’t changed. feelings you try to suppress with new colors—but the same dull paint. darling, i see your soul is distressed, and you think you’re beyond repair. you’re so cocooned, so unexpressed, and you wonder, does anyone care? 2/15/2020 Contest: "Does Anybody Care?"

I think they do, but they know that unless you struggle, you will never become a butterfly. I hope you are experiencing your whole spectrum of colours. Hugs Rick.
