Coaches

So they came
Tall at the table
And I saw them all
Right of way and able
Talking about
How the players play.
“can i have a new menu?”
“this is what we serve”
“i wont join the system
which is killing the earth”
“sir…”
“we’re not that way
and the menu is flexible.
we’re happy to create
if you know what
pleases you.”

The paws were deafening
While I was polite
Standing eye to eye
While he sat in the light.

“quit being so difficult
and just order something”
;o)

Sense and sensibility
equal a
Sensible scent of ability.
Simple.
Heaven’s scent
is not
”...a penny earned”

Good for you for standing up to those imposing coaches, Izzy. Waitresses get little respect sometimes. Just love your style and the last verse is priceless! Love, Carolyn
