There’s nothing more beautiful
Than a native song
A native dance
We move to the beat
Made wide the door
Pulled open the sash
To the simpler things
We can treasure once more
An ethnic custom
A traditional meal
A friendly smile
Crossing over the miles
From someone you knew
Once long ago
There,
With you still
Smiling down upon you.

Wow Kimberly! Here’s a poem that reminds me of how we keep in touch during this pandemic, and what we can look forward to when it ends. Great write!
