Clouds Swell With Water

clouds swell with water
that will soon be called rain

yet none ever falls
on the dry desert plain

eyes swell with water
that will soon be called tears

yet none ever falls
for reasons that are clear

the wind softly blows
across the arid grass

hearts swell with pain
that one day soon will pass

clouds swell with water
above the desert plain

eyes swell with tears
but not from hurt or from pain

the wind blows away
sorrow's forgotten sting

hearts made whole again
by love, eternal king
