Clouds Bursting Open

Clouds bursting open

to let spring rain fall on crops

waiting for sun now.

yes yes yes, where will be without sun to follow all that rain. I really fear it won't be coming. Thanks for commeting to Enter, June. I think your poem here kind of goes along with it.

Great visual, James! I had the chance to be critiqued by a haiku expert, he actually said haiku needs not be descriptive, or express our feeling about nature, just simply state what we see. For example, in the case of your haiku, it is written like a sentence in 3 parts. Another way would be, for ex. dark clouds burst open/spring rainfall on fields of crops/the sun shunned for now. I hope you don't mind me sharing this with you. Best wishes, Caroline.
