Closure

is I’m sorry too hard? 
is it not what you feel?
the words that I need
that won’t erase but heal

the wounds that are deep
that fester and scar
that never quite mend
leaving a deep mark

is there any way back?
to repair and restore
have I not given enough?
are you still needing more?

I don’t have much left
I thought I was through
all that I have
I've already given to you

it can’t stay like this
it can’t end this way
I just need closure
before I turn away
