Closer
Stars shine brightly
in the night skies
But cannot compare
to the brightness in her eyes
They say beauty fades
but from her it eternally radiates
I’ve seen incredible sunsets
but cannot compare to when our eyes met
These are just words
thought up in a mind
but held close to my heart
written in verses
help us feel like we’re not apart
