Closed Doors Lead To Closed Hearts

We are on a sinking ship
That's about to fall and tip
Under a wave about to take
Us down, if both of us don't shake
All this petty bitterness
Off us trying to dismiss
The grudge from the night before
Words from both sides of the door
Fighting, shouting, saying things
Pride was causing us to bring
Our relationship to a bad place
Being tortured from disgrace
That we can not settle this
Ending in a hug and kiss
Showing our love once again
But neither of us will begin
To start the sweet apology
I wait for you, you wait for me
Sitting on opposite sides
Of a door, trying to hide
Tears of fear, pain and frustration
That could lead to separation
