Close Enough To Halloween
Close enough for Halloween Poem
They hide in the attic all through the day
Waiting for nighttime to come out and play
They go bump in the night making scary sounds
They are ready to make their nightly rounds
Your afraid of the closet don’t look under the bed
Seems to me you might find the living dead
Hide under your cover they’ll come closer you fear
You hear something rattle they are so near
The sound will stop so close to your room
You shiver in fear as you wait for your doom
The noise gets louder can’t take it anymore
A shadow appears the opening of the door
You close your eyes afraid of what you will see
You plead and you pray please don’t bother me
But you have to look ready for the attack
Oh it’s only your cats wanting a midnight snack
