CLIPPED NOT CUT

bed of nails
clipped not cut
lie scattered
brittle rough

dumfounded words
scrawled slam shut
desecrated lies
marginalized

hawk scoops down
fallflawed brain
grabbing claws 
mental drain

an empty line
clipped not cut 
and dry
