Climbing Up That Hill

Climbing Up That Hill
By Kevin Robey
October 3, 2013

Hi, my name is me and I’ll never see
The possibilities and meant to be’s
I may never come to that point in time
When my thoughts completely realign

I keep on saying one day you’ll see
Starry-eyed dreams are meant to be
Working so hard to climb up this hill
Right now it’s like I’m standing still

I’m beaten now, it doesn’t look good
Fear standing taller than faith ever could
Shadows of doubt plague this sandy hill
The outcome apparently stronger than will

I keep on climbing knowing I’ll never find
The blissful sunrise of a beautiful mind
Shadows get darker as the band plays on
Playing that quiet, never-ending last song
