Climbing Trees....Again

They're up in the tree again
Making the boughs bounce and swing,
Those daredevil children outside
Who aren't afraid of a thing.

They shout and squeal with glee
Enjoying what's left of the day.
It's wonderful to see them outside,
The way children used to play.

They remind me of my childhood,
Climbing trees and having fun.
Playing with friends, making up games,
Until the day is done.

They bring a smile to my face.
Joy is contagious I think.
I hope they have many more days like this
Because childhood is gone in a blink.

A sweet poem, and indeed, childhood flys by so swiftly, in the blink of an eye!!
