Clear, Crisp, Fall Day

There is not a cloud in the sky,
The air, brisk, cool and dry,
Residents hustle back and forth
making their way,
Soaking up the elixir from the sun's rays,
Life goes on despite the reports of a
recession,
People shop, while stores beckon,
There is excitement in the air anticipating
the Holidays,
A beautiful day has a way of creating hallucinations
and false expectations,
beneath the mirage of multi-colored leaves,
balmy-cool breezes, lies angst and reluctance.
