Clay Versus Ali

Clay, wet and unmoulded struck a pose in front of the mirror
An introspection on the reflection of a man that could be a hero
He floated into the ring and his fluttering shook the world
Though skilled, trained and talented, his sting was truly his word

They entered the ring to spar these two heavy weights
In-between their crimson gloves, crashing blows and knockouts!
With a staunch faith and self belief ran a strong political campaign
One would emerge a genius to forever be the people’s champion…Ali

A wonderful remembrance; he is, was and always will remain, "The Greatest", from my home state. We will always be proud of the man he was and the man he became; his legacy lives on in his children and our memories. Beautifully written.
