Civil War

All around me is the dark, Because I feel like I’ve lost my spark. This world is far too cruel, And everyone is such a fool. I no longer can find my way, As I turn even more gray. So this is defeat, Why is real life such a cheat? No, wait, I can see again, I can crawl out of my den. There’s light again in my life, And I’m reanimated with a brand new strife. There’s talking and laughter and smiles once more, Now I feel like I’m no longer fighting a civil war. I can see the friendly faces that surround me, Finally, I’m free.
