Civil Rain

Listen to poem:
Civil Rain David J Walker I could see it from a distance The stroke of midnight looming When this OD Green façade would Dissolve in a civilian rain How ya-gonna-act Who will you be What will you take home Besides pain I am my own blurry memory as The chemical color representations Fade within the frames Drinking up The familiar cup Of civil rain And a prayer for each passing day
