City of Joy

From ancient monuments to modern architecture, The city flourishes with astonishing sculptures. Capital of the Indian state of West Bengal, The city of Calcutta warmly invites one and all. Once formed by combining three villages, Kalikata, Gobindapur and Sutanuti down the ages. Today it is one of the biggest metropolitan city, Being enriched in culture and diversity. Kolkata is its modern name, Yet it's ancient glamour remains all the same. I am really proud to be a Calcuttan, As I am proud to be an Indian. - 26th August 2014
