Circles

Walking around in circles
Searching for the light
Hoping that one day
I will finally win this fight

Constant battle
Between me, myself, and I
Fighting the urge
To just break down and cry

No escape no hideaway
No way of being excused
from the nightmares, scares
hauntings and abuse

Clock ticking, I'm halfway through
this thing called the circle of life
I put on the mask that hides the pain
that makes everything seem right.
