Circles

“Circles”

People will never tell you what you want to hear.

They only tell you what they want to say.

That night, you told me you had wanted to kiss me.

You did what I wanted but never spoke.

Or did I want to? I think now at least I did.

But I definitely know, I wanted you

To want to kiss me, hoping to have something more.

My curiosity did persuade me.

Your friend’s advice a little too encouraging,

The realization it’s just all a game.

It always did feel like a guessing game with you,

Or should I say, it's just like that with me.

How come you can not just force me to make me yours?...

You could have if you tried a bit harder,

Although I never acted as if and told you.

I only said what I wanted to say.
