Cigarette Break

As cigarette burns, another day turns
The ashes pile up, with regret on top
The ashtray fills up, but the fear is still stuck
Of trying and failing when something is ailing

But there is a must, to keep on existing
To keep on resisting the need for escaping
The life that’s still faking the hope and the rode
 That one must be taking,

The nicotine strikes, the day must be waking
The promise of life and promise of faking
What one must be doing ant one must be making
No ashes can cover what has been aching.
