Church Vestry Meeting Horn Haiku
I am the vestry member in charge
of the church exterior and landscaping.
They requested a presentation from
each vestry member. This is mine so
I can print it out and also email. It
does not rhyme, is in 5-7-5 format
and has no punctuation.
should see piece of trash (5)
be sure that you pick it up (7)
And not a woman (5)
be nice and not mean
try and keep your nice church clean
such a pretty scene
our church should be safe
sane secure free from all harm
hear (or here) a great sermon
take your wife to church
wonderful choir member
who has a great voice
bring prayer book home
you can read gospel again
as a reminder none
then you should next month
if vestry member do meet
try to stay awake
Now for my background check
not necessarily for a weapon.
I used to work at local Home Depot
in the garden section. A previous
vestry member worked down the
street from me. He was leaving
St. James and needed a replacement.
Yep. You guessed it. Here I am
none other than James Thesarious

provided everyone with pictures
of the church and a map. This
all sounds perfectly clear to me.
