Christmas Wish

They have no home,
No money,
No Christmas tree,
And are very hungry...
Again.

Cookie crumbs
Sprinkled...
And milk
Stained
The crying child's coat.

He's hungry
Again.
The diaper's wet.
It's cold.

The tired mother
Lied against the pavement
Hoping it would all end.

She made a wish
Upon a star
And ate popcorn
Decorations
In the dark.

Merry Christmas Everyone!
The end.
