Christmas time

Christmas comes but once a year
A time of festive joy and cheer.
It is the season of goodwill
To have a break, relax and chill.

A time for sending cards and gifts
A time for healing family rifts.
Just put aside those arguments
Try to forget those dark moments.

Some of you may feel quite sad
The loss of loved ones you once had.
And though they feel so far apart
They’re still here with you, in your heart.

So cook the turkey, pop the wine
And let the Christmas spirit shine.
Deck the halls and light the tree
And celebrate with family.

For Christmas comes but once a year
So celebrate it whilst it’s here
When New Year comes around once more
The future’s there to just explore.
