Notes About The Poem

You don't have to  be a Christian to live the way Christ taught. Merry Christmas. Make tha next year better than the last. May peace be with you.

Christmas Time

Christmas Time
By Franklin Price

Christmas day is almost here
Sometimes it gets me pissed
People suddenly are friendly
To remain Santa's list

Would think the reason for the season
Has caused them to respect
But the fear of being off the list
Has caused a lot to reconnect

Santa didn't start it all
In that stable long ago
It was the birth of Jesus Christ
The savior some have come to know

He taught us all of peace and joy
To love our sisters and our brothers
Treat others as we would ourselves
Respect our fathers and our mothers

Christmas should remind us
Of how we all should live
When we fall short, apologize
When we are wronged, forgive

You don't have to be a Christian
To live the way that Christ has taught
Recall these thoughts the whole year long
Or this poem was all for naught
