Christmas Past
Jingle Bells were ringing in the air.
Carolers were singing the First Noel
and Silver Bells in the street.
Houses trimmed in Holly announcing,
Yule Tide greetings with joyful care
could be seen.
Then the moment of magic in every
child's mind is the site of Santa with his,
hair of snow white and dressed in crimson
red.
I remember Christmas past as a child
how I was small as a sprite and would
watch wiping a spot in the windowpane
with a smile like gold.
Just to capture the beauty and magic of
being a child at Christmas time.
Shows that memory shines like silver
still today.
