If you miss someone this Christmas,
If they’ve left this world and you…
With a heartbreaking grief, so dismal,
It feels like a nightmare has come true….
If you miss their heart, their soul,
The music they played with their smiles,
Remember, heaven has an open door,
And, they can look down on your trials.
If you miss their kindness, their thoughts,
The feelings their love brought out,
the wonder of love that can stir dreams,
the beautiful of a heart – what life’s about!
If you miss the twinkle glistening in their eyes,
The blessings they brought to Christmas time,
The joy and peace that stirred so much delight,
Losing them! It can feel like the worst crime!
If you miss someone special this Christmas,
If they’ve gone on to be with Jesus above…
Don’t hold onto the sorrow and pain,
Remember their greatest gift to you, their love!
Love this amazing – it can only come
To those who believe, those who agree…
Without a doubt, they were sent to bring,
A part of Christmas – and, not just a tree!
If you miss them at Christmas, remember…
The gift that is missing certainly isn’t just stuff!
It’s the gift of Jesus’ love they presented…
With a heart full of love, blessings beyond enough!
