Christmas Mystery

You could have been born in a palace
yet, in a dark manger it came to pass.

Or trumpets blaring in the light of day
instead of a cold night in a bed of hay.

Maybe a P.R. stunt in the eyes of many
but to true believers a lesson in humility.

Christmas, oh what an enigma you are,
God's grand design, written in the stars.
