Christmas Mouse Wants To Be An Ornament

I want to be an ornament when I grow up the mouse said. Did he want to be on the side of green or red? Holly voted for green Santa wanted him on his team. The relatives laughed; grandma said that would be a pipe dream. What if I just hung out in the tree and did not take sides at all? He hung out happily in a Christmas tree shopping mall. The youngster was wise, the oldsters in the family said. For not choosing green and not choosing red.

Caren, have you ever seen a baby mouse? I have to admit that I don't like mice, but I'm telling you a baby mouse is just as cute as can be. Your poem brought this to mind.

I saw a toddler mouse once nibbling on cat chow; it was adorable! I was fascinated by the tiny paws and the nibbling mouth.
