Christmas Morning (A New Leaf In Life?)

You’re like Christmas morning when I was four
I’m wide awake and can’t sleep
I’m filled with excitement and cannot wait to hear from you again
Each minute has been an eternity since we last spoke
What awaits with morning’s light?
Nobody really knows
We’ll just see how everything goes
I pray it turns out alright
This experiment is cause for merriment
Will more follow?
We’ll see
As for now, like Christmas morning,
I am filled with uncertainty,
but most of all,
an unprecedented ecstasy
