Christmas Morn 2015

Christmas Morn 2015
By Franklin Price

Thank you God, to be alive
This Christmas morn two-oh-one-five
To have my wits, to hear and see
Still talk and have mobility

Have a wife, I love, who's still in bed
And a roof above my graying head
Food in the house and coffee too
And God, I owe it all to you.

Your only son, you sent this way
We celebrate his birth this day
Thank you God , you're really nice
For making such a sacrifice

You could have let us go to hell
Sent him instead, that's really swell
In him we only must believe
And life in Heaven we receive

While I'm at this, bless my friends
And help us to all terror end
Protect us with your saving grace
No matter creed, color or race

We're all part of your family
Watch over us and set us free
Keep us from sin and hate today
Keep loving us and show the way

Thanks for presents small and grand
To walk with me to take my hand
For Jesus then and Christmas now
To you, my God, my head I bow
