Christmas Magic
A Christmas eve, so long ago,
heard sacred songs, in a joyful modes.
Songs sung with reverent , blithesome voices,
brought loved ones close, to come rejoicing,
trekking through the snow, inviting,
and, blending voices, hearts, uniting.--
In velvet blue, a star appears,
breaking through clouds, bright and clear
With fervent news for all to hear,
restoring faith, both far and near
While air is thick with a misty snow,
and frost so silver, icy cold,
we'd cuddle close, with the lamps turned low,
by a fireside, where embers glow.
A piano played, where crowds have grown
and tree lights shined, in colored jewels.
Sleepy children, were tucked into
a bed warmed up by yuletide tunes.
The night so filled by a magic bliss,
while mistletoe, might spark a kiss.
We'd lift a glass to make a toast
while bells ring out "Oh, Heavenly Host"
The hush of magic, would appear, as snow brings closure, and good cheer
And a wish of love, to end the year!
