Christmas Is the Greatest
Falling snow. Mistletoe.
Christmas is here again.
See the lights shine as bright
As they have ever been.
The silver bells are ringing
Everywhere we go.
Christmas is the greatest time I know!
Chocolate treats. Cookie sheets.
Aromas in the air.
Lots of toys for girls and boys
To play with and to share.
I see the children smiling;
Their faces all aglow.
Christmas is the greatest time I know!
Still, let’s not forget... Christmas is much more
Than candles, trees and music and candy canes galore.
It’s more than just the loved ones, the laughter and the mirth.
It’s all about a special Child. We celebrate His birth.
Hearts will lift with every gift
Placed beneath the tree.
But Santa Claus is not the cause
Of all the joy we see.
For we recall the baby
Born so long ago.
Christmas is the greatest time I know!
