Christmas Is Here
CHRISTMAS IS HERE It's that time of the year
for Christmas cheer with the snow a fallen,
stocking are hanging, parents are running here and there,
and children waiting for the sound of clickety clack of eight,
santas reindeer.
Grandmas cookies and pies a baking, and carolers a singing.
Christmas time is near. Children counting and waiting for that
day they can tear down those stocking that were hung with care.
Santa's checking his list not once but twice for those kids
who have been naughty and not nice. The elves are loading
the sleigh with toys for the good little girls and boys.
Christmas is here for the time has come the children
are snug in their beds down the chimney with a rush,
he eats the cookies and off with the crumbs with flick and a brush,
he fills the bottom of the tree with gifts in a rush.
With a jiggle of his tummy that bowl full of jelly, ho ho ho,
Merry Christmas, and all a good night.
He snaps the reins and off again to fill another child's dreams.
