Christmas In the Air

Colored lights on snowy nights
With tinsel everywhere
Such delights to see the sights
There’s Christmas in the air

A Christmas tree for all to see
By stockings hung with care
Families meet to warmly greet
There’s Christmas in the air

Friends all laugh and drink a quaff
A yuletide toast they share
Carolers sing and bells will ring
There’s Christmas in the air

Far away on Christmas day
Just swaddling clothes to wear
A savior’s birth to bless the earth
T’was Christmas in the air

Songs of love from up above
The angels came to bear
A joyous word the shepherds heard
T’was Christmas in the air

A star shone bright that holy night
To lead the shepherds there
They knelt in awe, the babe they saw
T’was Christmas in the air

Wise men came to praise his name
With gifts of love to bear
Filled with joy from the baby boy
T’was Christmas in the air

So at this time when church bells chime
And people kneel in prayer
Please revere that babe so dear
It’s Christmas in the air
