Christmas Festivities
Wasn't High Street so well decorated for the holidays.
So many lights and other artefacts, with Christmas tree so rife.
Everyone shop-windowing, hardly a friendly gaze.
Elated with so many presents was my wife.
Yet how we have forgotten our life of strife.
