Christmas Fairy Doll
She was peeking at me from the tree but I saw her not.
So bedazzled was I by the bubble lights which I sought.
My grandma watched as I made my way around the tree.
She loved seeing me trying to see all that I could see.
What is your favorite thing? She finally asked me.
This angel I said, no, this fire truck, no this sled maybe.
Tinsel, stars, baubles and bows of every shape and kind.
I would put down one thing after another, saying never mind.
Because in truth I could not choose one thing; it was the whole.
My moves around the tree were made luxuriously slow.
I truthfully wanted to see everything, all that I could see.
Grandma was thrilled when I finally saw the fairy doll peeking at me.
