A pale blue haze hangs heavily over the earth
Or it seems to on this beautiful Christmas card
Announcing the miracle of sweet Jesus’s birth

The manger scene, an unlikely common berth,
A story told time and again by the poet bard

This is a rework of one I wrote some time ago. When I read it, it had one line too many, so I fixed that and reposted it for a contest.

Our list got completely out of control, so we just stopped doing it.
