Christmas 2
Christmas trees in windows, blinking lights aglow
Snowmen in grandpa’s hat, freshly fallen snow
Little girls in dresses, ribbons in their hair
Little boys in bow ties they don’t want to wear
The kitchen smells of cookies, homemade pies and cake
Sweetness is in the air as Mommy starts to bake
Daddy says the turkeys done and puts it on a platter
The children run to find their seats full of endless chatter
We gather at the table Grandpa says a prayer
Thanking God for family and that he is always there
After dinner near the Christmas Tree you’ll find the girls and boys
Santa had filled the stockings and left all the children toys
