Christ In My Heart

CHRIST IN MY HEART

Once I tried to live without the Lord, but I groped so aimlessly.
I roamed this world to find the things to thrill and to satisfy me,
But then I heard the Lord who said, “Your life will never start
Until you come to Me in faith and let Me in your heart.

So I came to Jesus and I found His presence was so true.
He came and saved this soul of mine and made my life anew.
And the things of earth I used to love began to all depart
As I let Jesus have control of each thing in my heart.

Now each day I want to live for Him and feel Him close to me.
I always want to do His will and serve Him faithfully.
I want to tell whome’er I can that life for them will start
When they confess their need to God and let Christ in their heart.

These words written to “Cold, Cold Heart.”
