Choices: Abyss To Life

Choices: Abyss to life
By Michelle Morris

You've made this bed
You lie in;
All your mistakes
Trying to smother you;
You've made the
Choices you'll die in,
If you don't recover soon.

Why do you keep on hating
The person that you are?
Always trying for
Pretending,
Instead of being pure.

All the clouds in your
Head,
Swirling around so dark -
Self doubt and fear;
The damage is so stark.

The drink and drugs
Did their best to
Take you down
The infinite abyss;
And if you continue to
Lie there in the dark,
It'll swallow you whole;
Devour your spark.

Get up from that bed you're
Lying in;
Take a bath and bathe your soul;
Start again from this
New chapter -
This day can make you whole.
