You, yet unborn, to a faith you belong For the seed has a religion And its temple is the womb In death again, to a faith you return Your lifeless body buried by your creed or burned For death rites follow prescribed religion But in life, you have a choice Living life, guided by that inner voice Of the god within: your conscience, guardian of terrestrial laws

Insightful, Biting, Conscience is on an evolutionary fade....selfishness is touted as individualism.... A Tibetan lama told me the downfall of America is the absence of shame....conscience is it's relative Nice write....
