Chloe

She walks across the floor at night Then glows in obvious delight Her laughter is like a song she sings Around the room, it's joyous ring She stops to do a little dance. Pleased with herself, now’s her chance. A few steps more she takes with pride And all the while she’s smiling wide. She wrinkles up her perfect brow And looks at you like “no, not now” Then sets her mind on something new And starts over again, out of the blue But when she’s tired and had enough She crawls upon her nanny’s lap She grabs her paci and puts it in And holds another in her hand Slowly she drifts off to sleep Peaceful as she dreams so sweet When naptime’s over and she awakes She’s back to walking all over the place.
