Childs New Shoes

Oh it really did make me smile
The other day when I picked up my grandchild

He sat so proud on a chair
Showing me the new shoes that he ware

He is only four bless his heart
But he was so pleased of just how smart

His new blue shoes that he had on
He just kept looking at them for so long

Twisting and turning his foot from side to side
Looking at them from every angle with pride

Oh the pleasure that he got
He just wouldn't, move from that spot

Just gazing down at his new shoes
Putting these on he would never refuse
