children of Jack
who is guarding the old haunted shack?
It is not one, but a bunch; we call them children of Jack
I thought this was odd until I saw what they were
Not people at all, not of feathers, flesh or fur.
It was a patch of jack-o-lanterns which made sense to me.
There were tiny ones and tall ones, some came up to my knee.
They have faces that made me smile, laugh and cringe.
There was even a pair of jack-o-lantern twins!
