Childhood Memory

Mom trained me to recite poems
with eloquence and gestures,
Confident and proud on stage,
I delivered one with pomp…
Loud cheer for a five-year old,
like a star of Christmas play !

Then, a teen roared, that’s a song!

Yes, that's the lyric form but the teen roared because she didn't know. I also realized when I became a teeager that the poem I recited was a famous church Christmas song, entitled, Cradle Hymn lol.
