Childhood Memories

My childhood days are hard to forget, of some I have glimpses, but some are carved in my head I remember my mothers sweet smell, I remember my fathers support when I fell Life was simple in those days and people had innocence in their gaze I remember the whispers of the cool summer breeze, in the fields where we played beyond the trees I remember my childhood mates, friends at school and all their debates I remember the girl next door, on whom I had a crush long before That was my first lesson on emotion, which sometimes can be deceiving like the ocean I did learn things in life first hand and somethings I still don't understand Those days are now long gone, I sit alone with nothing but my memories Saleh Ben Saleh
