Childhood Friend
A quiet little creek trickles
as I place my feet,
feel the earths bueaty,
as buetiful,
as a heart beat.
Mesmorised, entranced
by your gentle flow,
I know I have to leave
but your strains
hold me so.
Will you forever,
be tranquil,still,
for my heart tells me
you have big rivers to fill.
I sit here now
at my journeys end
and look deep into
my childhood friend,
I wonder how close
our pathes have crossed
but know, the innocence
of our youth,
was our gain
not our loss.
