Child of Mine

Child of mine who never came,
I chose your clothes, I chose your name

You would have been clever
And much loved forever

With trips to the seaside
Happy and bright-eyed

Fun in the park
Cuddles in the dark

A lifetime of fun
Could never be done

It wasn't mean to be
No motherhood for me

But i know you are there
Somewhere..

And one day we will meet
Arms open we will greet

Child of mine I'll see you
Up there in the blue

And we'll do the things we should have done
My daughter, My son

So sad Marie, I wrote a poem on the same subject, it’s titled - What will be will be… Belle
