Child In the Shed

Rain on the tin roof sounded
Lullaby; and I fell asleep
While grandma's Victrola played
"Pharaoh's army got drownded.
O Mary don't you weep";
And I was no longer afraid.
Sweet sound drowned out
My fear and doubt.
