Champions playing against the clock
Heart breaking moves tick, tick, tock
Eagerly watching their opponents moves
Strategy playing on a black and white board
Special chess pieces with different names
A mind sport game for masters with brains
Testing their skills on sixty four squares
Playing for hours in tournament pairs
Losing and winning those judges rate
All these professionals can play so great
Yes there goes another check, checkmate
